The second incident...

Well its happened again, another ad banned for its homosexual issues, and again from AMV BBDO. I was quite hyped up about the heinz one as that one seemed completely unrational but this one... I just don't get whats going on with it. The phrasing of "being a real man" just makes it a bit unnecessary.

Even though, I do think its all going a little bit too far, everything has to be completely politically correct and to be honest... Its all a little boring.

Am I the only one missing any homophobic message in this one. If by implying the guy in the ad is gay on the basis he is power walking then surely the people pointing the fingers are the homophobic ones?

No-one mentions gay anywhere, its the "real man" comments that have done the damage, by power walking apparently hes "not a real man" in comparison to what?

This is the problem with this and the heinz adverts, everyone assumes it has homphobic tedencies and the PC culture rips it to shreds.

You are Effin kidding me!! I thought this ad was awesome and a step up from the original if i'm honest, homophobic. That's a joke.

Short of insulting power walkers - who can it offend? maybe the garbage man as he knocks over the trash at the end...

Dear lord, it's getting out of hand now lol! Funny how the Nuts ads of a couple of years ago weren't pulled for being sexist against women - surely they should have been based on this silly PC generation we seem to be in. It seems only to be where men are involved that there's a problem, so whether it's a case of bruised egos perhaps? Tis a very sorry state of affairs when everyone seems to have had their sense of humour removed : S
